I think we can agree that Cancel Culture is a bit out of hand.
We have seen that previously acceptable opinions expressed on Twitter have caused people to be fired from their jobs. This blurring of professional reputation with private opinions is unacceptable and frankly invasive. Online crusaders have utilized not-so-legal OSINT techniques to doxx people who posted pseudonymously (or so they thought).
Nostr and GrapheneOS fix this.
You can keep your Nostr traffic pseudonymous and insulated from your professional life by adopting a lifestyle of good digital privacy.
GrapheneOS is an open-source Android OS that is compatible with Google Pixel (4-7 supported). It has an incredible amount of privacy and security features to put you in control of your data, sensors and privacy, all wrapped up in an excellent user experience. I’ve been using it as my every-day driver for 6 months and I have few, very minor complaints. And hell yes, the people at GrapheneOS are #nostriches
**Graphene is a de-googled OS, meaning Google Play Services are disabled. **
**How do you download apps? **
Start with FDroid and if you really miss your favorite apps from Google Play, you can try Aurora Store app, which allows you to download and update Google Play apps in anonymous mode. This isn’t 100 percent reliable (one of my few gripes) but you can switch user accounts and run Google Play services in a sandbox mode.
What about Nostr clients? Amethyst is available on FDroid, however I can't find it at the moment, plus I got mine from Aurora.
Or download the apk from Vitor Pamplona hisself!

Amethyst runs great on a Graphene.
Lightning Wallet? Wallet of Satoshi works really well on Graphene. I used Aurora to download and update. I especially like the fast biometric authorization for #zaps .
How does Graphene keep you pseudonymous? Like I said, I has a ton of great privacy features.**
When connecting via wifi, your MAC is randomized on every attempt. Even if your VPN isn’t operating, you still are able to keep a layer of obfuscation between you and your doxxers.
For mobile data, you can purchase Mint Mobile sim cards and register as a business without providing details of your personal identity. For an extra layer of privacy, try out Privacy.com which provides payment services that does not share or display your identity. Data-only sim cards are on the market. These do not prevent exposing your IMEI hardware identity
**How do you get a deGoogled phone? ** If you have a phone that is compatible and want to attempt flashing an OS yourself. GrapheneOS.org provides detailed documentation on the process.
LineageOS is an option for a more diverse hardware set, however I have no direct experience with that OS.
Try Above. Above provides news Pixels that run GrapheneOS out of the box with plenty of helpful, FOSS apps per-installed.
They offer a privacy suite including a proprietary VPN (WireGuard), email and excellent tech support. Their documentation is great and they offer many privacy-centric webinars and resources that will help you dive down the rabbit hole of privacy for liberty in an unkind world.
None of this advice is sufficient to hide malicious or illegal activity from state-sponsored authorities.
I am providing this guide as part of my mission to secure people’s lives online from malicious persons.
In my teaching of self defense and martial arts, I’ve found the majority of my students have been stalked online, so providing digital security is part of my holistic approach of safety and self defense. My goal is to provide Digital Self Defense to people at risk, especially those that have been trafficked or victims of domestic violence. Every person has the right to self protection and privacy while still maintaining a social life online.
If you would like to support my work, any donation will be gratefully received and will increase my dedication to this cause. lnurl1dp68gurn8ghj7ampd3kx2ar0veekzar0wd5xjtnrdakj7tnhv4kxctttdehhwm30d3h82unvwqhhqun0d4c8gempwfskwefcxyrq94p7
And if I have made an error, consider utilizing Highlighter.com to discuss my errors via a Nostr protocol. I’m happy to admit my ignorance and learn from mistakes.
Shoutout to for expanding the innumerable use cases of Nostr beyond the protocol!
Also, if you would like to attempt to doxx me, I would greatly value you good-natured Red Teaming of my privacy and security measures.
Yours in Liberty and Jujitsu,
